3^rd Curve provides services for this national practice management organization with a business model that transforms primary care. 3^rd Curve has a high degree of expertise in health system employed and independent physician workforce analytics and supports market analyses in physician recruitment and engagement opportunities across the country. 3^rd Curve provides a comprehensive, validated database of key metrics for ongoing insights for outreach and decision making and a methodology for maintaining all of this valuable information in a current state to support real-time use. 3^rd Curve designed and developed the software program to store and analyze healthcare provider workforce metrics to enhance the client’s ability to target and recruit physicians nationally. The analytics provide the client with supply and demand information by geographic market, salary information, and specific provider metrics on level of productivity, clinical specialty, conditions treated, clinical outcomes as well as contact details.

Private, Not-for-Profit Health System

3^rd Curve conducted extensive market and clinical data analyses to project future patient demand and recommended the construction of 16 facilities ranging from neighborhood clinics to regional surgery centers. Focused on innovation in care delivery, we implemented a Visual Analytics platform to support the Ambulatory Network Plan. A Strategic Medical Staff Development Plan was created and visualized based on community and organizational provider volumes, in conjunction with relevant market data to support the facility and service expansion. 3^rd Curve analyzed clinical and financial data from the client along with regional healthcare claims data to create a detailed business plan for the client to extend its health services to new sites within the market area. In order to position our client for emerging trends in healthcare, 3^rd Curve researched opportunities and applications of Robotic Surgery, the use of Artificial Intelligence to facilitate clinical research, and the use of smartphone-based apps to facilitate post-surgical communication between surgeons and family members. 3^rd Curve developed innovative new visualization techniques to understand healthcare data through the Microsoft PowerBI platform by designing a customized web-enabled tool to allow the client to quickly analyze internal treatment demand data alongside market-wide trends. The customized software tool was provided to the health system Planning Team at the end of the project for on-going use.
