Founder James L. Miller has twenty years of experience in residential, retail, and office development in mahor urban centers such as Chigago, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.
James holds a BSE in Civil Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He is based in Chicago, and he is a licensed real estate managing broker in Illinois.
Stateway was the development manager for Phases IIA and IIB of the Park Boulevard project, which includes 128 mixed-income rental units that were completed in 2012 and 108 mixed-income rental units that were completed in 2015.
Prior/Future Phases Stateway also asset manages the 134 mixed rental units delivered in Phases IA (2005) and IB (2007). Future phases of Park Boulevard are projected to include over 800 additional units of housing, approximately 33% of which will be market rate. Stateway is engaged to perform all development management, asset management, property management and brokerage required for the future phases.
The Stateway principal led the effort that resulted in the Park Boulevard site plan which won the 2002 Charter Award from the Congress for New Urbanism. Park Boulevard Phase Phase I won the 2007-2008 Community Vision Award (CVA) from a joint panel of ULI Chicago, Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, and the Metropolitan Planning Council. The work at Park Boulevard Phase I led to CHA being awarded a $20,000,000 HOPE VI grant in 2008.
